Title: HRT II+ problem

After I play a 24/96 selection via JRiver and exit JRiver my DAC indicates and stays at ??/96[can't tell bitrate], even on restarts.
I played music out of iTunes that is definitely 16/44.1 and indicator on DAC says 96.
I launched JRiver and played a 16/44.1 and the light returns to 44.1.

iMac 2.7GHZ intel Core i5 - 16GB MEM - OSX 10.9.2
WireWorld UV 7 usb cable
HRT MUSICSTREAMER II+ [latest firmware]
Signal silver interconnect cables
Creek OBH-11 [modded]
Sennheiser HD600 [canare L-4E6S cable]

You may have to ask on the HRT forum why it's showing "??" for bit depth.

iTunes might be resampling to 96khz.

?? is because the HRT  does not have bitrate lights [sorry for the mental shorthand]

once JRiver MC 19 changes the samplerate it seems only JRiver can change it back.

the 96 light did not change to 44.1 even when spotify was launched which I'm sure is not 24/96.
