Title: How to display lyrics in JRiver?
Post by: raider on April 21, 2014, 12:06:48 am
Hi, I have just purchased JRiver v19...I was using XBMC previously.

I am trying to figure out how to display lyrcs in JRiver but I could not figure out how...I have tried to google and it appears that I have to use MiniLyrcs as an external program...is there a way I can display lyrics in the Theatre View in JRiver?

Thanks

You can add the Lyrics tag to the Audio file template.  Tools > Options > Theater View > Appearance > Customize file info panel...  and select the Audio template.  Then click the Add button and select Lyrics.  Place it where you want it to appear in the top-to-bottom list of tags when you select a track in Theater View.

When you're in the Details view for the track, you can click on the lyrics item to expand it.

Thanks for that. That will work only if I populate individually the lyrics of the song and add it to the FLAC via the Lyrics tag...but even so, the display of the lyrics in jriver is not a synchronized event...how do I get something similar like MiniLyrics working in JRiver (as in a built-in functionality)?

There's nothing like that built-in.

If you figure out how to get it working nicely with some kind of third-party plugin, let me know.

It has been asked for before, but I don't think it is real high on the priority list.
