Title: Keword list problem
Post by: frenchbassguy on April 21, 2014, 09:48:15 pm
I have about 50 different keywords so far in my available list.  Once in a while I'll need to add a new one.  But randomly, it seems, sometimes when I put a new word in the list, then exit the keyword pane and open it again, only checked terms are available.  So instead of 50 options to check, it just shows the one or two that are already checked.  But if I uncheck the last term I added, it goes back to normal.  So there's some random terms (like "saxophone" and "sports") that I just can't add to my keywords list.  It's REALLY annoying!  I'm a bit of a noob.  What am I doing wrong??  Thanks so much for your help  :)

I think you might be hitting the UI limit mentioned here:

Does that seem like the issue?

Also, I can't recall exactly the UI in MC18 (as there were some changes in MC19 to list edit widgets), two additional things come to mind:

  1. MC will shown only the keywords that are in use in a given selection of files
  2. there should be a drop-down box for selecting additional items.  You can select items from that box.  To add multiple keywords, type in the values separated by semicolons.

That's it!  Ok, that makes sense now.  Thanks so much!  Does anyone know if the limit has been expanded in MC19?  That alone would be worth the upgrade price to me  ;D

I didn't see anything in the MC19 change logs:

I checked there before I posted.  Look for the word list.
