Is there a way to check season art in standard view?
I've been fiddling around but I think I only get to see the episode thumbnails, am I missing something?
Thanks!

Define: check.

If you just setup a view grouped by Series and Season, you can access the Season posters just fine.

View, look at :D

See attached screenshot. From the tab settings, I can choose different list styles but I never get to see the season art.
I've been switching between standard and theater view until now, figured there must be an easier way ;).
Thanks guys!

Use a Categories view, with the categories list style set as Thumbnails.

It would be nice if when the file list was grouped by Season (or Series), MC showed the Season (or Series) art as the grouping thumbnail instead of one episode's art.
-
You have to start navigating there from the top, if you directly go deep into the view it'll show a file list, which doesn't show the posters.
I'll check if it should show the series/season art in more places once my main library is back up and functional (after my file server is back to working order after migrating it).

It might also be worth mentioning here that the Tree short circuits to the File List, and behaves in ways some don't expect. Avoid it. :-)

Thanks! Created a new view for it.

This .. is weird. And there's no way to change this? I almost wanted to post it wasn't working and read this again. I almost exclusively use the tree to navigate. I rarely double click something in the main window unless I want to play it.

No way to avoid. You can add a tree to a pane and it behaves much better - but that requires a Panes view, of course.

In the next build:
NEW: Detail List Views in Standard View show Series/Season artwork as the grouping thumbnail instead of an episode thumbnail.
This way you can use the tree, and if it's set up to group by season or series, it will show the appropriate artwork instead of the thumb of the first episode.
ie. it can look like this: http://i.imgur.com/RHwWE9Q.png which should be the improvement MrC asked about.

Very nice. Thank you!

Very nice indeed. It's not something that bothered me, but just makes the program look that bit nicer.
