Title: Conflict with Vegas Pro 13
Post by: atodzia on April 30, 2014, 08:57:56 am
I had to uninstall J River version 19 in order to get the new release of Vegas Pro 13 to not crash when starting. Does anyone know what the problem is and should Sony do a fix or J River? At the moment I can't use J River Media Center and am using the free VLC program to play music files.

It's possible that Vegas is loading MC as an ASIO driver.  You can turn that capability off in MC.  Try a search for ASIO at the bottom of options.

I just heard back from Sony support and they are aware of the issue. They told me to install JRiver now and it should work. I installed it and Sony Vegas starts with no problem and JRiver works. I guess there is a conflict when first installing and JRiver can't be installed until after Vegas 13.
