Title: Ripping to NAS
Post by: captacoustic on May 01, 2014, 07:37:40 pm
I have 2000 CDs that were ripped by a company and stored on a NAS. MC recognizes the FLAC files and plays them fine. My problem is that I can't seem to find a way to rip my CD through MC into my laptop and have it stored into the NAS along with the other files?

In MC settings, you can set the location for ripped files.  The Options window has a search at the bottom.

When I searched, I entered words like 'rip' and 'file location' but they don't appear to take me an area where I can set the ripping destination. Is there a specifics word(s) I should type?

Tools > Options > File Location > Audio.  All new audio media created by MC* will be created using the folder and file name rules there.

* that is, audio media that don't fall into other sub-categories like Podcasts or Scheduler recorded media.

Thanks. It turned out that the problem was not with JRiver at all but with Sonos. For some odd reason Sonos isn't always recognizing the FLAC files that I have stored on the NAS.
