Hello,
I'm a paid subscriber to Red Ice Radio and have a working username and password to access the members only section of the site. I have tried the instructions from the JRiver support page (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Password_Protected_Podcasts (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Password_Protected_Podcasts)) but cannot get the JRiver Media Center to download anything. In JRiver Media Center I can see all of the podcasts in the list, date of each podcast, file URL and so forth, but under the episode status it says "retry" and the episode never actually downloads. After 3 retries that status reads "failed(3)".
I have other password protected podcasts that I can download and listen to just fine in JRiver Media Center; it's just this one that's giving me issues.
The RSS feed format I'm using is: http://username:password@www.redicemembers.com/rss/rss_radio.php
Thanks in advance for any help!

Can you log in, using that, from a browser?

Yes, I have verified that my username and password do work when logging into the site from a browser.

Bump
I have contacted Red Ice Radio support and they state that my account, username and password are working perfectly (which I already knew). They simply suggested I change my media player to something like iTunes which has no problems syncing their podcasts. I obviously don't want to do that, so hoping someone can help figure this out.

One more bump, after contacting Red Ice Radio one more time their support person/team actually downloaded J River Media Center 19, tested it out and verified that they themselves could not get their podcasts to download either. Here is their reply:
Thanks for the info.
Sorry to hear that you continue to have trouble.
We spent some time downloading, installing and reinstalling JRiver Media Center 19 with various settings to see if we could resolve the issue, but were not able to get the files to download, as you've said. The issue is not just at your end.
We can only again recommend alternate means of accessing the content.

You can enter a password using:
username:password@website.com
That should allow you to access password protected Podcasts.

Thanks Matt. However, that method is not working for this specific podcast (see original post). I, in addition to the support team of the podcast in question, have verified that my username and password are working perfectly, yet J River Media Center refuses to download the podcasts. What could be the issue?
