Some advice, please. What is the average MC 19 Linux user doing about the new versions of MC 19? I have been downloading each one as they are introduced, but MC 19 is still in the development stages. . Right now I am on MC 19.0.129-3.
My Linux distro is Linux Mint Debian Edition.
Thank you,

I personally check the forums daily for new builds. Once a new build has been posted I install it via the terminal (dpkg -i) and begin to use it. MC for Linux currently doesn't seem to have a working check for updates feature, auto update, or some sort of repository to update via package manager.
Which reminds me to ask, is MC for Linux going to have some sort of update system? Perhaps a repository we can add so the package manager can update it? This may require multiple repositories for various distros - Debian/Ubuntu repo would be what matters to me most right now.

I agree a repo and a working update system would be a good idea to have in the long run. I know the main reason I found and bought certain software for Linux, is because they were available on the "Ubuntu software Center".

We have an MC for Linux update system in place for this project:

It should move to the release build in the next month or so.
