I do not know where to ask this so here it goes...
Is there an option to turn off everything other that to play music and everything related to it only?

Another way to work on a minimalist basis is to work via a browser - WebGizmo (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/WebGizmo)

Always handy to have options..  ;)

If you use JRemote for Controlling your Audio, you can Run JRiver in Server Mode only. So You will have only a tray icon showing the server.
