Title: Use of unusual characters in filenames and tags (MC18)
Post by: hvdh on May 10, 2014, 06:39:58 am
I've decided a long time ago to use the names of composers and orchestras and the like exactly as they appear in the English Wikipedia page.

Which means that Dvorak is called "Antonín Leopold Dvořák" and I am using this string in all my filenames and tags.

Which works just fine, except for one thing:

If I search for "dvorak" in JRiver mediacenter (sorry, I'm still using version 18) I do not find Dvořák.

Is there a work-around, or can you "fix" this?

Has this been "fixed" in MC19?

Thanks,

Henk

When you enter dvorak in the Search box, you are given a list of possible matches.  Are you saying you see none of Dvořák?

See attached screenshot.

:-*  My bad, I hit Enter too soon. And I didn't realise I needed to update the library (after updating the tags, I do that using my own little program) before the search would give me what I want.

Thanks!
