Title: media center file

hi,  I have just loaded MC and noticed my music files (FLAC) have changed to Media Center files.  What is the impact of this? Am I locked into using MC in future?

No - when doing the install of MC, it asks if you want to associate the various media types to MC (so they will auto play in MC).  You can always change this in Windows.

In MC, you can set this under "File types".

Media Center is only changing the label for the file types which are associated with it.
 
If you want to restore individual file type listings, here is a solution:
