Title: Convolution engine not switching to 88.2 kHz filter

Mistakenly posted in the MC18 forum. Reposting:

The convolution engine doesn't seem to be switching to the 88.2 kHz filter.  Instead, it switches to the 44.1 kHz filter.

Automatically switches to all the others - 44.1, 48, 96, 176.4, 192.

It should search for 882 in the configuration file and key off of that.

I tested with 88.2 and it works fine for me. Did you double check the naming convention of the configuration file? It should be something like Sample2.0_882.cfg.

Unless you measure with different sample rates, the config files created are resample from your measurement sample rate. If you measured at 48 kHz, then all the convolution files are resampled before being saved. You end up with the following:

Sample2.0_441.cfg
Sample2.0_48.cfg
Sample2.0_882.cfg
Sample2.0_96.cfg
Sample2.0_176.4.cfg
Sample2.0_192.cfg

You can instead just save the file that matches the measurement like Sample2.0_48.cfg. JRiver will automatically resample the convolution file on the fly to match your playback sample rate. This is much easier than keeping multiple config files and JRiver's resampling should match or exceed the quality of the pre-resampled files.

If you actually take measurements at each sample rate then you would probably want all the individual config files.
