Title: Cannot play Video to Measy A2W Miracast Dongle (EZCast)
Post by: connersw on May 24, 2014, 09:38:00 am
When I picked up my Chromecast, I also picked up a Measy A2W (http://www.measy.com.cn/product/showproduct81_en.htm) to compare them.

I can play all content on my phone through the EZCast app (Audio, Images, and Video).  However, I cannot play Video Files from my JRiver Server.

I am able to see the dongle as a Zone in MC, and I can play to it from MC or Gizmo using Audio and Image Files.  However, no Video Files will play.  The Action Window in MC shows the Video as playing (sort of intermittent screen advances actually), but the screen connected to the dongle shows "Error# Content Length Not Found."

From the EZCast forums, I've read that this means that EZCast can not get the File content (ie it is not in the correct format):  http://www.iezcast.com/bbs-en/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=919.  It is a DLNA device, so it should play MPEG/WMV9.

In my MC DLNA Server settings, I have tried Specified output format with every available Format.  Under Advanced, I have tried ticking DLNA Extra on and off.  I have tried using mimetype override with Video DLNA Override set to MPEG_PS, MPEG_PS_NTSC, and MPEG_PS_PAL.  All result in the same error.

I downloaded the Developer Tools for UPnP to use Device Spy, but I really have no idea on what I'm looking at/for.

Suggestions?

Lots of talk about DLNA settings last week.  Any chance of getting some suggestions on getting Video to play?

Try my DMR analyser app and let me know what it suggests.
