Hi All,
I've searched but not found a precise answer.
I'm starting a collection of Bluray discs of family favourites and would like to make exact copies of them to play in JRiver for convenience.
I'd like to retain all the chapters rather than convert to mkv.
Can I do this within JRiver?
Cheers.

No probs - have a read of the Wiki - http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Blu-ray
I've about 500 BD's all ripped in the folder structure which we then watch via MC.

Thanks.

No probs - post back if you have any Qs

I have pondered on this solution for a long time as well and I highly recommend Anydvd HD lifetime license. You spend about $120 but that gives you a lifetime updates. I use the "rip to image" option and the entire BD is ripped as an ISO image and JRiver can mount the iso image and play directly as a bluray drive. This also gives you the ability to have the entire BD format intact and if for any reason you decide to chose another player, you do not have to re-rip your BD's..

Ripping to MKV via MakeMKV will retain all the chapters and audio/subtitle tracks on the disc.
I rip just about everything to MKV as it saves 10-20GB per disc if you don't care about the extras on it. (multiple language tracks, behind-the-scenes content etc.)

MakeMKV will also do a full backup (like AnyDVD). I use it on my OSX machines for this since AnyDVD is PC only.

FYI: jmone and I have been working on some pscriptor scriplets and a workflow that will create particles for you based on information found either in the MPLS or via chapterdb. I think he's going to write up some instructions after we've worked through some more test cases.

Great news!
I rip to iso if it's a 3D disk.

OK, back again.
I now have AnyDVD and Make MKV.
So far so good.
I have ripped my BluRays to mkv and would now like to sub divide the shows (a two season 12 episode set) into episodes like I do DVDs with Handbrake.
How can I do this, please.

OK, Handbrake does do it!
