Title: MC19 convert Mov to MPG4 misses last seconds

All,

New to MC19, bought it for the great audio support but now getting into the photo and video capabilities, hence my first issue:
When converting video from MOV to MPG4 it misses the last 1 or 2 seconds in each video, is there any setting I need to tick or change to prevent this?

I'm not aware of a video conversion feature that's independently select-able.  Please advise.

Matt,

I don't understand your question; you are not aware of MC19 having a conversion tool in which you can choose the output format?
- Select a video file, 1280x720 *.mov in my case
- Tools -> Advanced Tools -> Convert format...
- In the Convert Format window that pops up on the left bottom you get a pull down menu in which you can select to which format you want to convert to. In my case I select MP4 720P (to keep the same resolutin and aspect ratio) and AUTOFPS so MC can do the calculation.

I took an MOV file and converted it using the same settings you described.  It worked without losing any time.  Does it happen with every conversion?  Maybe only with specific files?

Thanks for testing, yes it does it with every file I converted, from small 10MB till larger 600MB files.
Unfortunately I only noticed after 300 conversion... ::)
I let MC pick them from the NAS and put them back there again, will try with local files as well.

I converted a bunch of files this morning to test, and all of them have exactly the same number of video frames as the original.

Are you using the latest version of MC 19 (currently 19.0.136)?
I've recently made some improvements to how video encoding is handled.

Hi Hendrik,

I just updated to 0.136. Copied the files to local SSD but that made no difference; still missing the last second or 2.
Changed the convert format to 'fixed' FPS instead of AUTOFPS and all went well, so it seems the AUTOFPS setting has issues with converting MOV to MP4. I didn't check other file formats btw.
