Title: iPOD Touch no longer detected by JRiver MC19
Post by: ribbery on June 06, 2014, 07:57:20 am
Hi
love this application. I do have a problem with it though. I purchased it a few weeks back, and was able to sync up to my iPod Touch 1st Gen, but now the iPOD touch never shows up in MC.

The iPOD touch does show up in Mediamonkey and iTunes.  I have asked MC to redetect it and it still fails to do so.

Any ideas?
Thank you

Has the iPod been updated at all since it last worked?  The first thing I would try is rebooting both the phone and the computer.

Hi, no not since it last worked.
The laptop is always rebooted throughout the day. I have just restarted the iPOD Touch and it still does not show up in MC. I have also reset the iPOD touch numerous times.

Thanks for your assistance.

Here's something you could try:

Go to [Options > General > Features > iPhone Support] and enable it.  See if that helps.

If all that failed, you could try backing up your library and reinstalling Media Center.  Not sure if it would help, but it's worth a try.

Just done that still no luck. In the meantime as a test, after the reset of the iPOD went into mediamonkey and it saw it fine and synched all my files back onto it.
It's freaking me out as I've only recently purchased this specifically for this, but it doesn't want to play, and the fact that it's faster than mediamonkey at loading etc.

Did you ever get this to work?

I have the same problem, MM, Winamp & iTunes detect the iPod without problems in 3 different computers, but MC does not.
