Title: Move files with Drag and Drop using the Tree
Post by: HiFiTubes on June 09, 2014, 11:00:46 pm
Is there a way to move files with Drag and Drop using the Tree? I've used Drag N Tag before but moving doesn't work. Move, Rename, and Copy is not available in this Location View.

Guessing I should use a "normal" view scheme that defines disk location in filter with word "Transients"...

I used to do this frequently. Are you sure it doesn't work?

No, you can't drag into a Disk Location scheme. I took out all the other fields added to the view and it still doesn't work.

So the Transients View Scheme has a filter (filename (path) contains transients), and I'm attempting to drag into a Disk Location scheme opened in Tree.

This used to be supported, but isn't any longer.  I'm not sure if it's worth readding.  Votes welcome.

I would vote yes, because it's a useful option. I am quite comfortable using "Rename, move & copy files" too though.

Seems like it would be useful.

If it doesn't cause other problems (or the reason it was removed) I'd vote to re-add it.

I'd appreciate it, too.
