Title: Home Videos and metadata...
Post by: raldo on June 10, 2014, 02:23:39 pm
I'd like to gain control of my home video metadata.

I understand that for MKVs you can basically embed what you want as XML (http://matroska.org/technical/specs/tagging/example-video.html). This is similar to XMP in images.

Does anyone know if there are any standards etc. wrt. videos that are worth following in video metadata?

And, to start with some basics: Exactly where does MC fetch the Date field upon import?

bump....

What about this standard (https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/2413309?hl=en)?

And, I'd really like to know how MC generates Date for videos...
