Post by: KingSparta on June 10, 2014, 05:08:59 pm
Tomorrow About 2om I Am Having Knee Surgery.

For The Past 18 Months Or So I Have Been Getting Shots In The Knee, And That Reilly Did Not Help, And Then They Did An MRI And Found out I Have No Meniscus And What I Do Have Is Damaged.

The Plans Are To Go in There And Smooth It All Out.

Since My Bones Are Weak They Plan To Inject Some Cement Into my Bones.

Well It's Done, He Said I Had Some Damaged Cartilage That Was Flopping Back And Forth He Thinks That Was Causing The Pain.

He Never Did The Subchondroplasty

It Seems Tricare (Military Insurance) Would Not Pay For It, I think due to 1. Cost (
It is like $6,000), And 2. It Is A New Procedure. I am going to try and find out why for sure.

So he said if this does not work, then I will Need A Knee Replacement.

they also have me hooked up with a precision TENS 3900

Quote
What is a TENS unit?
A TENS unit is a device that generates electrical impulses sent through electrodes placed on the skin over nerve centers. TENS is an acronym for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation. The various pulses generated by TENS can block pain signals normally sent to the brain through nerve fibers, thereby interrupting the brain's awareness of pain. FDA approved TENS units are safe, non-invasive, drug free, and non-addictive. Please note, TENS devices are FDA regulated and Federal law restricts most TENS units to sale by health professionals or by prescription only.

they also gave me some Oxycodone, that I have not needed yet

I think I may take 800mg of Motrin after I read the Doctors notes again.
