Hi
any plans to port the virtual ASIO driver to a ALSA version on the Linux version?
-
What applications on linux talk ASIO?
I'm not aware of any.

Nor am I. I am thinking of a virtual ALSA input device for the Linux version similar in function to the ASIO device on Windows. Maybe it is there already and I've missed it...

Does this Wine thing count?

Thanks, not really. I am hoping for native Linux. I run MC on Windows at the moment, but plan to move to the Linux version as soon as it supports the functions I use.

So then what linux applications would you be wanting to use a MC ALSA driver for? Just curious.

I would probably use Squeezelite with LMS running on my NAS. Convolution and parametric EQ in MC DSP Studio. I use BrutefirDRC for convolution on my NAS today, but there is no parametric EQ in Brutefir and I'd like to move the rather cpu heavy processing away from the NAS.
