Title: playcount or "number Plays" not updating when using gizmo
Post by: dafloydman on June 15, 2014, 06:39:38 pm
Hi all .
I've done a search on this first so please forgive me
if there is an answer to this on the board somewhere.

I am using mc 18 with gizmo ( playing "here" to my android phone)
and Play statistics are not updating on the server , is this normal, if so
is there a workaround? . i have no issues with mc 19 but i really want to
have 18 running at the same time as doing suits my apparently obscure purposes
better than loading a different library in mc19.

Also when shuffling a large list my files are at all different volumes which i cant find
a solution to .
cheers

I believe that you must use authentication on the server in order to have anything written back to it.  It's in the Media Network settings.

Hi Jim
Yes it was already turned on ( ticked ) but still no luck .
I tried unchecking it closing mc and re launching it and ticking
it again but still no luck . I was suspecting it is the way mc18  works.
Thanks for the reply though

Sorry.  I think that ratings were added recently by Hendrik.  It might require MC19.  You could try it.

Yeah i thought so . thanks anyway.
What about volume levelling with gizmo. Seems like a basic requirement
but having said that i seem to be the only one needing it.

Jim is right, play count in Gizmo only works with MC19, sorry.
