Title: Import Tag-field from one library to another?

Is there a way to import a fields value from one local library to another?

Case in point, due to the new user-function (which is a great addition), I want to tag some files with a user. Before that, that user had her own library. So the easiest thing for me to do would be for me to open that library, tag all the files there with the right user, then import the user-field from that library into my "main library", is there a way to do this? I guess i can turn on tag writing for the user-field (MC doesn't by default write the user-field to the tags), write that tag to all the files, choose "update library from tags", and then remove the user-tags from the files again. Seems like somewhat of a hassle though, so i just wanted to know if there was a simpler way.

Using one library instead of two is the simple way.

Otherwise your tagging approach is probably your best bet.
