Title: external web access
Post by: Elvoc84 on July 04, 2014, 02:07:31 am
Is there a way to connect to JRiver outside of my network?
I just finished getting my Raspberry Pi running XMBC set up.  I can stream everything to it threw DLNA while at home.  But I am trying to make this my portable media player for when I'm not home and didn't know how else I could connect to it threw XMBC.
Thanks
Dan

P.S.
If anybody is a great programmer and could make a JRiver OS for the Raspberry Pi.  That would be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're using DLNA on the RPi, you must have a DLNA Server at home.  You could still connect to it from outside your LAN, if your network allows it.  See "Network Access (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Network_Access)" on our wiki for more information.
