If you're licenced for 17, then why not install 17 on the 2nd unit?
1 licence serves multiple installations for a "reasonable" number of machines under the one roof. If I've got that wrong the JRiver guys will correct me pretty quick.
Enjoy what you've got.. ;)

i hope you are wright. i will wait to the j/river guys opinion.
thank you.

The Media Center license covers all systems that you own. (within reason)
So you could either use your existing MC17 license on the client, or purchase MC19 and use it on both systems.
Q: Can I install on more than one PC?
A: During the two-week period after you have purchased or restored, you can use the Install Key you received to activate the program on your other PC’s. You may use the program on your work PC and on your home PC's with a single license.
Note: the two-week period is not a limit on when you can install MC on another system, it's just that the Install Keys are only valid for two weeks.
You can get a new Install Key here: https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi (https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi) (up to 10 per year)
