Title: Audio library messed up?
Post by: PrinterPrinter on July 15, 2014, 09:34:31 am
Hello,
I'm new to JRiver and generally love it!

I had something weird happen to my library recently: lots of albums had their cover art replaced by other albums art...
Another weird thing is when I click on an album I only see 2-3 songs (that I played) and noth the other songs in the album - I checked on the disk and the files are there...

Please advise am I missing something?

Thanks!

Very strange, I'm not sure what would cause that.  You could try a Library Restore  (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Restore_a_library)of one of your automatic backups from before the problem.

I suspect the albums issue is that of 'album - artist': if an Album has multiple artists (or slightly different tags) than JRiver considers those as several separate albums... Is there a setting to change that?

Also, If I completely delete the library and re-import all the music with JRiver forger stuff like rating and play count?

Thanks!

Group by Album Artist (auto) rather than Artist.
Fill out the Album Artist field if (auto) is not getting things right.

Thanks, where do I find these options?

It's difficult to say, as it depends on what your current view is.
Click the arrow at the top of a tab, and either select "Group By" Album or "Customize View" and make sure that items are being grouped by the [Album Artist (auto)] field rather than [Artist]
