Title: DSD upsampling problems when native sample rate changes
Post by: pirassic on July 25, 2014, 08:01:10 am
With MC I keep everything converted to DSD128 in realtime.
I had no problems whatsoever until the latest version:

I play back music normally until the native sample rate of the PCM file changes.
Say I have a playlist with two tracks: one is 16/44 and the other 24/96.
The first one plays fine, but then the 24/94 sounds slow, like MC is unable to switch sampling rate of the DAC before converting to DSD.

Same thing happens if i put the 24/96 file first. It plays back ok, but the following file sounds "faster."

When turning off DSD conversion, everything goes back to normal.

Matt has been working on the DSD encoder, and it should hopefully be all fixed for the next build already.
