In an earlier post I was looking for a cure for an issue I was having with ripping cd's that I had previously burned from multiple sources, ie: retail disc's-self made disc's, etc. After ripping these they would appear in the album view as multiple albums instead of a single album. I was given a few possible reasons for this and probable cures. I have found that the fix for this issue, should anyone else have it, is to switch ripping formats. I simply changed from "flac" to "alac" for these rips and they come out just fine. Don't know why, don't care, I'm just glad that this frustration has been cured.

I'm glad you solved your problem, but switching the encoding format shouldn't have any effect on the problem you've described. It's likely that you changed a different setting in addition to the encoder format.
The only reason I bring this up is because I don't want other people with a similar issue to be misled.

Thats fine, all I can say is that what I described in my post is exactly what I experienced. I changed nothing other than the ripping format. It worked for me.

Reripping to a different format won't preserve database entries due to the new extension, which means that the files were probably improperly tagged the first go-around.
