I find that activating Memory Playback through a dedicated music server with a SSD (solid state hard drive) makes the sound more lazy, and thicker, loosing air and bite, although the sound seems more fluid and rounded, the compromise is too big. Does it mater to activate Memory Playback when using a SSD and should there be any benefits?
I understand the benefits if this was a normal hard drive, but since there is no moving parts in an SSD surely the benefits should be on par?

Honestly there shouldn't ever be a benefit or any difference at all. However, the feature is there because of popular demand.
