Title: Photo thumbnails are not being built..
Post by: raldo on August 06, 2014, 01:20:50 pm: Can anyone tell me, what are MC's criteria for building photo thumbnails on a client machine?

I cannot start a rebuild myself (since that's only possible for videos).

And, the client's been running for a long time, still nothing has happene in certain viewschemes...

Post by: Matt on August 06, 2014, 01:37:28 pm: They should automatically build. Try Options > Tree & View > Erase all thumbnails... Then see if they rebuild.

Seems like they're rebuilding. It's going to take some time for 100k thumbs.

After 3 hours the lower left pane said that the process was finished. I noticed that several images still did not have thumbs so I did a new rebuild. "Building thumbnails xx of 30000"

Repeating the above: now "building thumbs xx of 12000"

What's going on here? I've been on a hardwired network in the above tests. v 19.0.118

Post by: Matt on August 08, 2014, 02:55:19 pm: It's weird that the server is returning 500 errors when the thumbnail is requested. I have no idea why that's happening.
