I cant find one in the Microsoft store, just wondering if there are any plans for one.
-
I guess the "app" would be MC. So your real question is if JRiver intends to sell MC via the Microsoft App Store. Or ??
-
Maybe, see http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=87522.0

my intentions are to run JRiver from my Windows 8.1 desktop connected to my TV and HIFI ,I would then like to have some tablets around the house that will also run windows 8.1, I would like to be able to both control JRiver via the tablets remotely and also stream to the tablets from my desktop.
At present I am able to do this on my Nexus 7 via Gizmo but I am unsure if Gizmo will work on Windows 8.1 or if it is just for Android only.
Also, is it possible to have JRiver installed on several computers in my house without having to buy it for each one, or will I need to buy a seperate license for each one?

Gizmo only works on Android. And there is another control "app" called JRemote which only runs on iOs. Finally there is a control interface called "WebGizmo" which runs on any device that has a web browser on it -- see here http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/WebGizmo

Please look at the FAQ on this page http://www.jriver.com/purchase.html

If the tablets are running Win 8.1, you can simply install MC on each of them and use Theater View. You do not need to buy a separate licence for each instance.

You could also run Gizmo under windows 8 using Bluestacks Android emulation.
I have it running on my surface pro.
Bluestacks creates win8 metro tiles that launch the app within the Android emulator.
I also have a metro webbrowser shortcut to launch the Gizmo web app. ( over to the left)

That looks interesting, thank you.

I use Theaterview with the touchscreen skin with my Windows 8.1 Levono Yoga 2. Works beautifully.
