Title: MC linux roadmap
Post by: cada on August 15, 2014, 08:02:37 pm
Hi
I am new to JRiver and the forum
I have recently built a audio/media server running DAC direct to power amplifier.
Installed windows 7 with trial version of J river
All setup mce remote and gizmo
internal volume
everything works
great software - sounds is superb.

When will linux be at the same level as the windows version?

Just installed Xubuntu and the latest J river and as an audio server it works perfectly but would like video in one device.
I have XBMC running for video with JRiver in the background for audio at present which works perfectly but not very tidy.

Also XBMC is absolute rubbish.  I find the J river library tagging for movies and music so much better and easier to use.

Well done on such a fantastic product. i look forward to purchasing it soon.

I hope I will not have to wait too long for video support.

Welcome to the forum.  We're working on video.  It's impossible to know when it will be working.

Many thanks for such a quick response.

I am pleased that it is in the pipeline.
