Title: Hide non-audio content in MC view of Handheld
Post by: rufuspotter2 on August 21, 2014, 10:21:44 am
Hi

Is there any way to hide non-audio content when viewing the contents of a handheld via MC?
I have a HTC One x+ and am using MC19.

Currently viewing the phone through MC19 shows me all the images and thumbnails (about 2500 altogether) as well as the audio that I want to see.

I have looked at the options for the sync but nothing seems to provide the facility.

I am just using the file Action Window drag-and-drop to add content to the device.

Any help gratefully received.

In Handheld options, you might be able to set a specific directory to monitor.

You might have to add a new device and browse to it.

Unfortunately if I try ...Add Device.... I cannot browse to the relevant music directory because the phone is not visible in the browser window.
(Not visible as a drive, not visible at all).

Even pasting in the path from Windows Explorer does not work - MC19 does not recognise it as a valid path.
Windows Explore sees the music directory on the phone as residing at:
Highview2\HTC One X+\Internal storage\Music

Can I use the Expression Builder to supress the visibility of items in MC19's view of the phone, depending on filetype?

Thanks

@ rufuspotter2
I found this very interesting but unless "viewing relevant files" does improve MC19 current speed for "viewing" or for handling the "Sync" it won't matter much.
I reckon it takes a long time from an Hand-held Phone through USB to get the all info.to MC19  that is  "all info" even if there is no need to Sync all files.

Ps I got +/- 1500 photos files on my Windows Phone.
