I'm wondering if any other users have noticed the same issue. If I leave EQs on in Display Bar, they too, are choppy.
Scrolling becomes unstable and "sticky" until a restart and I usually browse Tiles.
I have 16GB of RAM and 4core i7 with good cache, and a decent video card.

What version are you using?
-
19.0.163
Just came back into room after restart. Nothing playing. Thumbs all built. Scrolling stuck again.
I have just disabled Smooth Scrolling in Logitech Setpoint. Maybe I should uninstall Setpoint? I don't see this issue in other apps though.

Logitech's Smooth Scrolling has caused weirdness for me in a number of applications, though I don't remember it impacting MC specifically (might have though, but I know it borked other things all up). I have it installed on my HTPC, but that feature turned off. Might be worth uninstalling completely just to rule it in/out.
Also might want to update video card drivers. I've seen weirdness with scrolling performance in Firefox with GPU drivers before.
-
Also, restart MC or restart computer?
-
Thanks, I try somethings.
Restarting MC solves the issue, but it soon returns.
-
Switching between album Tiles getting slow too. Something else is up.
Log file too big to be opened by Wordpad or even Notepad++
-
Disk space?
Antivirus?
Unplug any USB devices or unused drives.
-
For what it is worth, I had setpoint installed and I had the same problem. I removed it completely, and I have had no problem with the mouse or with its remote and the scrolling is fast. I think it is just bloatware, but that's just my opinion of course.

Doesn't that option just enable fractional scrolling instead of using line-based scrolling? It's essential if you have one of their mice with a free-scrolling wheel.
If that's causing problems in Media Center, then it's not Logitech's software at fault.
Media Center already behaves strangely and ignores the OS setting for the mouse wheel even when using line-based scrolling, without any drivers installed.

MC19 kind of bogs down swicthing Tiles, the refresh to change File List starts dragging.
I installed MC20 and saw the same issue, but so far only with scrolling. It seems much fast loading view schemes to me.
uninstalled Setpoint and I think it is safe to say no more dragging scroll of death.
However, there is a section in my Tile View that does bog down MC. As soon as I hit it, scrolling hangs. Please see below. It is the empty Cover Art image (the musical note).
