Good morning,
I downloaded MC20 last night without a hitch. As best I can tell, all of my settings came over from MC19. However, when I select my Oppo 103 in playing now via dlna, select a song and hit play, MC20 after a waiting message doesn't play anything. The song is identified but it doesn't play. Fortunately, MC19 is working perfectly (phew!!). Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike

Turn off Media Network in MC19 and turn it on in MC20. Make sure Media Server is running on Windows Start, and that you're running the right one (MC20).

No change. After I select an album and hit play, MC20 (no waiting this time) shows the song but playback doesn't start. Oddly, after a period of time, MC20 goes to the next song and pauses there. Back to MC19.

Hey guys, though I'm satisfied with MC19 I'd really like to get started with MC20. Any additional thoughts on why MC20 is not operating for me via dlna? The timer stays on 0:00 but it appears that the song may actually be playing in the background because the song number advances after a period of time. Still no audio. It works fine playing through my computer. It just balks via dlna.
Thanks,
Mike

Double-check your settings in Options > Audio.

Ok. I'll check that when I get home. Should I uninstall MC19?

Matt,
No change. Why would options > audio affect dlna and the media server? The problem would appear to be on that side. MC19 is running fine.

Since I never got a response that resolved this issue, I have uninstalled MC20 from my machine and will revisit down the road when a more stable build is released. Until then, MC19 is working fine for me.

I don't think this is an MC problem. It's a settings problem or something like a firewall.
MC20's DLNA is an improvement on MC19. But I'm sorry it didn't work for you.

Don't forget to reboot.

Don't forget to reboot.
At least twice . . .
I had some problems briefly with my MC20 upgrade as I forgot to turn off the MC19 Media Server at start-up. Before version tried to take control on reboots. When I remembered to have MC19 do nothing at Windows Startup, then rebooted again (once or twice), everything was fine.
Also, you could have left MC20 installed and just not starting, then update that and check functionality when you get a moment. There is no real downside to having the two versions installed, as long as only one runs and you know which is your current database for backups and restores between versions. You did restore an MC19 backup to MC20 before you tested, I assume?
BTW, did the Audio Path in MC20 tell you anything?

I suspect it is a set up issue but I can't figure it out. Should I uninstall mc19 and then install mc20? It's my understanding that audio path doesn't work when you're using dlna.
