I am very new to this stuff.
This question may have already been answered, and sorry if it has , but cannot find it in the forum, so..............
Can the Netgear NeoTV max act as a renderer for MC 19 server.
My NeoTV max is up to date, on and plugged in to the tv, and on the network, but it does not show up in the Playing now area.
I believe it supports rendering, but no workie for me.
In the NeoTV Max setup it does find my MC 19, so I click on it from the TV.
Again, nothing in MC 19 so far.
Any help on configuration would be greatly appreciately.
I would like to use it for playing Videos and pictures to my TV in the den
and wire directly into my den amp for music

As a follow up to my earlier post (see above) I can see all of my Media (music and video) that resides on my computer (server) on the NeoTV Max and am able to play it through the "MY MEDIA" icon on the NeoTV Max.
NeoTV Max is not showing up on my Playing now list in JRiver.

What makes you think that this device is a Digital Media Renderer?
I took a quick look at their website and it says "With the NeoTV MAX you can play your videos, photos and music files from USB drives and DLNA media servers on your TV" which means it is a Control Point (CP) and Digital Media Player (DMP); but there is no claim that is a Digital Media Renderer (DMR).
- CP = means the device can browse MC's ContentDirectory
- DMP = means the device can pull media from MC's server
- DMR = means the device appears in MC so that MC can push media to it

There you go, must not be - thanks..............

Is there a list of renderers that will work with JRiver so i can stream my video content to my tv by selecting it in playing now?

Try searching the DLNA organisation's certified product database http://www.dlna.org/consumer-home/look-for-dlna/product-search
Note that if you want to use MC push to the device, you need a device that is certified as Digital Media Renderer (DMR) and not just Digital Media Player (DMP); DMP's can only pull from MC.
PS Jim, you might want to add this to your FAQ and/or Wiki...
