Title: Connect Android Media Player to JRiver
Post by: bassmann on September 05, 2014, 06:42:26 pm
Hi there,

I've just purchased a new Media Play & having trouble setting it up to my JRiver media server.

Setup
- I have a PC running MC19 as a media server with DLNA enabled. I have a client HTPC in another room that has no problem connecting to the media server.
- The new device is a MK902ii running Android 4.4.2 & I'm planning on using XBMC as the player on this device. I'd prefer JRiver but I'm not aware of an Android version. The device is wirelessly connected to my router and I can access the internet

Within XBMC I cant find any options to add a DLNA server. I think uPNP is similar, but not sure. When I add this it doesn't find any media servers to connect to.

Any tips on where to start appreciated.

Thanks,

Bassmann

Sound like you should post this question at Xbmc..

Thanks Andrew,

After re-reading my post I agree with you.

BTW - are there any plans for JRiver on Android?

Thanks,

Bassmann
