Title: 7.2.280 locks and kills network while registering

I am trying to register version 7.2.280.  It completes Step 1 of the buy process fine, but hangs on Step 2.  Also, this seems to completely hose my network connection, even if I cancel.  I can't even ping my gateway.  I am using a Netgear FA311 NIC to connect to AT&T Broadband cable.  Any thoughts?  Thanks.
