Hi,
Have just used the tool "Update Tags from Library" on my audio files
When finished it returned the message "70878 files updated 15 failures"
No other info, so what is the best way to find these 15 files, is there a log saved somewhere
Thanks in advance
Steve

I also would like to know the answer.
Just as a workaround, note that the "usual suspects" would be files that are actually not individual tracks, but where MC20 has received the track information from another file. For example, when a single FLAC file has an embedded or external cue file that describes the FLAC file (typically a whole CD or album) as individual tracks, then MC20 will put that track information from the cue file into the Library - but - it won't write new information into the cue file.
Similar things can happen with SACD ISO files.

There's not really a way to find out what tracks failed. Doing them again in smaller and smaller batches might figure it out.

JRiver simply knows the files that failed.
Wouldn't be to hard to supply a log just like Import Details does

Next build:
Changed: Failures are reported when doing Update Library (from tags).

Cheers for your replies everybody
Looks like kstuart is on the ball there were 15 files "cue files" that were not tracks - deleted them all ok
Many thanks - Steve

Is it in 20.0.16?
Don't see it in the list
-
Especially when a MC release is new, development moves fast, which means the public releases may be a couple builds behind. I believe your change should be in 20.0.17, once its available.

It is in 20.0.17 indeed
Unfortunately, when I have these failures, I don't see a list of files that causes this.
-
Once again, where can I find these failures?
