Title: Current zone stops
Post by: AoXoMoXoA on September 13, 2014, 09:05:35 am
When adding files to zones MC stops the currently playing zone.

I have 3 Zones set up, while playing an internet radio stream in "Zone 1" I used "Send To / Play (Zone 2) / Add"
upon which MC ceased playback on Zone 1.

I then re-started playback on Zone 1 and added additional tracks to Zone 2 using the same right-click menu commands, upon which MC ceased playback on Zone 1.

I have done no further testing. Need some done, just ask, same for additional info.

Are you using Zone Switch?  That's the only explanation of this I can think of.

dam he's good   ;)
Yup that nailed it . . . I forgot I had that activated

but I used an "Add to Playing Now" type command, and since the dialog states: "Stop playback in these zones (use to avoid Simultaneous Playback)"
I didn't expect Add command to affect it.
Shouldn't this only stop playback when you try to actually Play since otherwise there is no simultaneous playback?

It's a border case, but right now any time the zone switch is activated it'll stop playback -- even if it's just adding files to Playing Now.

That's hopefully temporary while you guys address more important issues and do further development.

I really like this feature as it helps me to use MC for more functions than I previously had (i.e. video and internet radio), but with it working as it does now it somewhat defeats the purpose by half or more for me.
