Title: Whitebear not safe ...?
Post by: AndyU on September 17, 2014, 12:28:53 pm
Just upgraded (sic?) a laptop to Windows 8.1. Tried to install Whitebear. Got a complaint about it from Windows, which I ignored. Got a "WhitebearMediaServerSetup... is unsafe and has been removed" from Norton.

Is there a good reason these messages happen, or should I just ignore them and allow Whitebear to install.

It's probably a false positive.  You could run the file through an on-line site that uses multiple av programs.

As Jim says, it is probably a false positive. But I will send you a PM where you can download it again.
