i had been running mediajukebox 7.2.2.280 in trialware mode and had no problem ripping cds. then i purchased the software. now, when i try to rip a cd, i get multiple error messages, all of the form: 'sector XXXXX. incorect function' i am running windows 2000 pro. what's happening here?

I don't know the answer, but I did the same procdure, run the trail, rip CD's, upgrade and rip CD's again. It worked and gave me no problems. I'm running w2k pro too. One suggestion: maybe, you have flaws on your disk, but didn't notice it jet, since you didn't used those sectors. Check under >My Computer >Manage >Event Viewer > System for Errors or look under ..> Manage > Disk Management and check for error indicators.
Maybe, it got nothing to do with MJ8.
