Title: Eliminate grouping in a playlist?

Unlike smartlists, I do not see a "group by" view option for standard playlists. Instead they automatically group by album. I can "sort all files by seq (removes grouping temporarily)" but I cannot find a way to remove the grouping permanently. There are lists I want to set up with a very specific play sequence, and I am unable to do that.
