Display View crashes MC20
OS X 10.9.4
(worked fine in MC19)

Try rebooting.

Try rebooting.
doesn't help
-
I'll test it.
What Mac do you have, and what OS?
-
It isn't crashing for me. However, the on-hoover Player/Scrub bar isn't showing:
This also means I can't "restore" from the "quasi-fullscreen" maximized mode of Display View.

I started a thread yesterday about a major crash with MC20. Reading this thread I realize the last thing I did before this crash was double click on the "Display" window which previously would give me a full screen view of the artwork.

MacBookPro7,1

I'm a new user and am having the same issue with MC20. Display View shows for a brief second then MC crashes. I've tried rebooting but no luck.
Otherwise, I'm very happy with the software - far better with my 450,000 ALAC song database then iTunes!!!

No need to fix for me, I decided to switch back to a PC. All is working for me now :)

Can you provide a crash report?

Can you provide a crash report?
I would if I could...but there's no crash report in the DiagnosticReports folder.
The app exits after displaying the cover art for about 3 seconds.
MC19 worked flawlessly.
UPDATE:
display view suddenly WORKS (!) as advertised after I enabled logging (check:output to a log file) under the help menu to reproduce the crashing problem. what gives...

MC20 again crashed immediately when double clicking the image window in lower left corner This is on .24 and Yosemite.
Also when reopening MC20 it is in Display View with a black screen and the toolbar above. If you do not immediately select View>Standard it will crash again.

my feeling is that it could have something to do with the skins. try switching to the skin 'Z' and use cmd+3 instead of
dbl clicking...it might work for you as it did for me

Im on the latest version of OSX and the latest version of JRiver for Mac. Any use of Display View continues to cause a crash of MC within a few seconds of initiating. This has been happening for a while. I hope it will be addressed.
This happens whether I double click on the Display Window or select View>Display View. When reopening JRiver the screen will be completely black except the toolbar on the top where you must select View>Standard View to return to "normal" operation.
Based on a comment above I tested out different Skins. I have primarily used Thunderstorm but recently have been using Blue Steel. The problem occurs with each. I then tried the "default" Skin Noire. The problem has not occurred within that Skin so it would appear to be skin related in recent versions since this had not been an issue for me before.

I'm not seeing it every single time, but I'm now seeing similar behavior with video playback, as are others. More details here:

Same here : On my system and Yosemite, selecting display view ends up in making JRiver Media Center crash. MC20 on Mavericks crashed only when the display view was selected as default view at the opening of the app, not if selected after MC was opened. MC19 on Yosemite doesn't crash either with display view.
Hope you can fix the issue. Thanks.

This crash has been fixed. Stay tuned for the next build.

Sorry. Good news.

Seems to be working now on .29. Thanks for the quick fix.
