Title: MC20 not finding all my audio files
Post by: wavelength on October 02, 2014, 08:43:05 am
All,

Hey loaded up MC20 on my MacBook Pro Retina for RMAF pointed the options to my library files (700 high res, 4000 CD, 400 or so DSD albums) and it is only showing 23 albums? I am not sure why but it looks like all of them are 24/96 files.

Most of the library is in AIFF, very little in ALAC and most of the FLAC converted to AIFF.

Any ideas?

External drive, I have a primary and a backup, MC20 gets the same files in both.

Seagate Thunderbolt/IT80/Music/.... then the standard stuff.
Drobo Thunderbolt/IT80/Music/....

Funny note on the IT80 that was the name I cast 11 years ago when I started putting my computer files on an 80G external firewire drive.

Thanks,
Gordon

Hi Gordon,
Double check the file types you've got MC set to import.  It's in the auto import options.

The topic on our wiki called "Moving Files" might also help.

Jim,

Thanks but there is not file choices on the OSX versions like the PC version.

Silberman told me to set the folder to the root of drive instead of the music folder.

Thanks,
Gordon

The choice of file types is there.  Tools > Import > Configure Auto-Import > Pick folder > Edit > Check all the audio types.
