What i have to do to get the historical order?
Burn: do you need any program[easycdcreator,roxio...]to burn from MediaJukebox?
Which "kind of pluging" MediaJukebox is using?

No, It's Build In
The only thing that is required is ASPI, most systems have this installed

King, thank you.But you are "the mister tag" of this forum as far as i can read, any tip to my tags problem?
Have a nice week-end

salut zev,
Well, if you want to list your albums in historical order and if your mp3s have the
year tag correctly set you can just create a new media view such as year/artist/album
or decade/album. But maybe you were talking about the entry date in your library in that case
you have to play with the date field of the library but unfortunately the date field
is not accessible in MJ8.0 (smartlist rule or media view schme). The only thing
you can do is to sort by date (Option/Tree & View/Sorting).
Je ne sais pas si j'ai ete vraiment utile sur ce coup !
Bon week-end

not sure what you mean by "historical order"
by when you imported
by when it was saved©hanged to disk
year of recording
etc.....
thats why i did not comment
-
oui et non! merci!
I do not have year tag. Most of them are EMusic downloads and they do not have this option
Beside this i would like to update not only the way MusicMedia show my music collection, but at the Windows level.I was thinking about one way.I remember that ,with RealJukebox you can create Windows folders-i mean the yellow ones-You just chose the way you want to organise. And you get this ;foder 1=Emusic,folder 2 name of the artist and one folder for each album.
From this, inside Windows explorer you can rename each album, like" 1 same "instead of
"same"
This will work? Can you create this kind of folders from MediaJukebox?I think the answer is not.I still have RealJukeboxplus on a disc, but i am REALLY afraid that it will mess around with MediaJukebox. It toke me quite a lot of time to set Mediajb,Freeamp andRealplayer in Netscape to work and open as i want.
Maybe there is a way at the start,at the download level?I have Getright on a very fast ,smoth,NEVER crashing WindowsME[this is NOT a joke]
Bon week-end- a Bordeaux born and breed

I am not into setting up things like that, not sure
Lise and some others get into some complex mediajukebox taging things (play lists, Groups, Smart lists etc....)
by the way this program i made may help for some downloaded mp3's with no tags

I'm a newbie so forgive me if I've misunderstood the question.
Goto Artist listing in the library.
Click on the album you want
Select all the tracks in the right pane
Hit Ctl-Enter
Enter the Year the album was recorded
Click Save
Use Settings/Options/Treeview and make sure the Year tag is checked, now you can click on AllFiles in the library and double click Year to see all your tracks sorted by date. I tried to set the autosort field to Year but it doesn't seem to impact the listing under AllFiles.
Does this help?
-
>>Hit Ctl-Enter
Or right click and select properties
or if you click on the listing "Date" col and the wait 1 second and click it again you can edit directly from the grid
-----
or you can select all the files and then select the right click on the "Date" col select rename, enter date and all will be changed that are selected

thank you-will try it during the week and let you know
