Title: Taging Home movies
Post by: jrdiandrea on October 08, 2014, 12:25:25 pm
I am working on customizing views in the tree & Theater views. Making progress but  I am hoping i can get ideas from some of you.

First, i have several files that are random home movie stuff and simply would fall under say "2010-2012" Will this work along with regular year dates "2013" if I want to include the year in my sort? (Ex below)

Also, I want to be able to have a category or main even as "Vacations" but then another that would be specific as far as place... "Italy". But what should I use for Place?

So my thought is something like this;

SORT Fields;

Media Sub type:  Home Movies
Year (can I use 2001-2002)?
Event
(Sub Event or Place)

I will eventually want to maybe get a bit more detailed but thought if i figured this out it would be a great start.

How do some of you do this?

Don't forget about keywords.  Just assign a list of any relevant keyword to your videos and insert keywords into the view to browse by it.
