Title: unable 96k/24 playback

Attempting to playback aiff-c 96k/24 hirez file downloaded from online service (Acoustic Sounds, I think). File on macbook pro retina, connected through airplay wireless to airport extreme, then ethernet connected to Denon 4100W. Message says core audio unable to play. I reset audio midi to 96k/24 but no help. I can play the file if I change the 96k setting in DSP studio to 44.1. What dumb thing am I doing wrong?

Maybe your audio hardware just doesn't support 96k?

This is a case of not supporting 24/96. I do not believe 24/96 is possible via Airport Express for certain.
