Alright, so you decide to sort albums by last name.
Then you come across
Terence Trent D'Arby.
So ... goes that under the T for Trent ...
Under the D from D'Arby ...
Or under the A from Arby because the D is an Article (is it?) and we ignore those ...
I already know I'm going to get lost on this one. It's one of those albums that you can never find and always put back in the wrong place!
Help me out of my suffering! Where do I put it?

I think Trent is just his middle name, not part of a compound surname, middle names are never sort operands on this side of the pond. So IMO "D'arby" is definitely the correct search criteria, which narrows it to "D" or "A." In his case, his mother was named "Darby," so in my view the D' is just an affectation, not an article ;D
I would shelve it under D.

Makes sense ... D i it is! Lol! ;D
