I use MC to sync my files with my Windows Phone. It works perfectly except one detail, many albums have tracks with different artists, and after sync, the album is split into many different ones on my phone.
e.g. Track 1 - Deadmau5 with xxx, Track 2 - Deadmau5, etc. this ends up in 2 separate albums.
Any chances MC could have rules for synchronizing files, e.g. set Album Artist as artist onto all the files? Or is there any other way to do that?

Reminds me of the time I was using WMP
It has Artist and Contributing Artist and an Album=Album and Artist are the same
These tags map to Artist and Album Artist in JRiver, hence the album got split.
You probably have exactly the reverse.
As far as I know, JRiver can't do tag mapping on a sync.
You might try a work around like create custom tags (AlbumArtistCopy / ArtistCopy) and do a swap before you sync and swap back afterwards but this is pretty tedious.
Your best bet is probably finding another media player for your phone supporting the same convention for Album as JRiver

I'd be surprised that this only happens with Windows Phone... my other cheap mp3 player has exactly the same issue.
Anyway thanks for your suggestion, found couple better apps.
Erik.
