Title: Auto-Import skips files it says are bad. They play fine in MediaMonkey
Post by: jeffla376 on October 13, 2014, 08:13:19 pm
Hi,

I installed MC20 and set up auto-import to import my library. At the end, it said there were 32 files that were previously determined to be bad. I checked those files and cannot find anything wrong with them. They play fine in MediaMonkey and also on my phone. I cannot see any option to clear whatever flag is set to call them bad. Is there a way to find out what it doesn't like?

Could you mail a sample to matt at jriver dot com?

You can erase the record of "bad" by creating a smartlist ~d=a and erasing the record from there (hit refresh and erase a second time to be sure).

Thanks.

Matt,

I sent you a song that failed to import. I don't know what a Smart List is. I am new to Media Center and haven't learned much yet. Can you give me some basic context on that?

Jeff

The file you sent is an m4a and it won't play in iTunes either.  I think that one is really a bad file.

Matt,

I sent another file. It was large so let me know if you don't get it. I tried it in iTunes and it played fine.

Let me know about smart-lists (my last post).

Thanks,

Jeff
